Our current roasts hail from Wuchi, Colombia & Fazenda Pantano, Brazil! A true all-rounder, this coffee is great with or without milk and can be brewed any way you like, with superb results every time.

Our personal favourite brewing method for home is the humble Cafetiere (French Press). We recommend a ratio of 60g of coffee to every litre of water.

  1. Pop your Cafetiere on the kitchen scales and fill with water to work out it's volume and adjust the weight of coffee accordingly. 750ml is a typical size and for this you would use 45g of coffee.
  2. Weigh and grind your beans fresh (or use ground coffee) and place into your cafetiere.
  3. Pour over the water as soon as the kettle comes to the boil. The really hot water helps extract the maximum flavour.
  4. Cover with the press or a small plate and wait 4 minutes.
  5. Uncover and use the back of a spoon to gently press any grounds that are still floating down into the freshly brewed coffee.
  6. If you want to get really nerdy you can skim off the foam/bubbles from the top. This is just excess CO2 realeased from your coffee and doesn't contain any flavour.
  7. Place the press back on top and gently push down until you reach halfway.
  8. And if you can resist, wait 4 more minutes for the last of the grounds to settle and your coffee to be at the perfect temperature to drink.
