The Manx Loaghtan is a rare breed of small primitive mountain sheep native to the Isle of Man, sporting four straight or curly horns.

Loaghtan (also Loughtan and Loaghtyn) is Manx for the brown "moorit" colour of the fleece, probably derived from the Manx words "lugh" (mouse) and "dhoan" (brown).

The wool isn't about ultra soft luxury, its valued for its natural colour, durability, and connection to traditional textile craftmanship.
