Chef and proprietor of Leela's Kitchen is Kumar Menon. Kumar, originally from Kerala - Indian, moved to the Isle of Man in 2003 as a catering student. It wasn't long before he fell in love with the island so much that he stayed.
He started Leela's Kitchen in 2011 in memory of his late grandmother Leela. His grandmother and mother were the inspiration behind his passion for food especially Indian food, spices and the culinary journey. Spices are also a family legacy (business); his grandfather started trading spices way back in 1950's out in Jew town, Kerala, India. This makes Kumar a third generation spice trader.
All Leela's Kitchen spices are GM free & non-irradiated, freshly grounded, and hand packed in the Isle of Man.
