Valentines Day

Valentines day is just around the corner.

The custom of sending cards, flowers, chocolates and other gifts originated in the UK. The modern cliché Valentine's Day poem can be found in a collection of English nursery rhymes from 1784

"The rose is red, the violet's blue,

The honey's sweet, and so are you.

Thou art my love and I am thine;
I drew thee to my Valentine:
The lot was cast and then I drew,

And Fortune said it shou'd be you

Our Valentines window is full of Manx chocolates and gift hampers full of luxury Manx soaps, bath bombs, teddys and romantic candles. For the man in your life we have the humorous hamper or why not pop in and make your own bespoke hamper up using our red hamper boxes which we can cover with cellophane and ribbon.

We have Manx themed Valentine day cards such as “I Snae Fell For You” and “your my jewel in the Irish Sea” plus of course “You’re my favourite Manx knob”.
