Re-opening of both shops

Fantastic news. We are re-opening both our physical shops.

MostlyManx in Douglas will be opening again on Monday 1st June 10-4 Monday to Saturday.

The Manx Tartan Shop will open from Wednesday 3rd June 12-4 Wednesday to Sunday. Yes we are trialling Sundays.

We are fully stocked with Manx tartan travel rugs and scarves again, in both shops, as our weaver John has been able to work uninterrupted and chained to his loom for two months.

We have had a good spring clean and are now excited to meet you all again (from 2 metres away)

Both shops will be restricting customers to one at a time but it also means we will be able to return to the personal shopping we all used to love many, many, years ago. Due to the nature of our shops, they really lend their way to this type of personal shopping experience.

You can come into the shop and browse and then take a seat while we go and get the items you have chosen. We will then cash it up, bag it and then let you safely approach the counter to pay by card whilst we step out of your way.

To assist with our re-opening in Douglas we have a troop of 12” high Gnomes and Vikings trekking all the way from Ramsey to come and stand in the window. As they have extremely short legs, they set off a month ago. However, as they have a tendency to stop and fight amongst themselves every 35½ mins, it could take longer than we hope. We think you will like them and if we can get them to behave and pose nicely in the window they could be a real attraction.
