A hardback book brought out to celebrate 100 years of Lloyds Bank in the Isle of Man.
Steeped in the old traditions of farming and fishing, little changed for centuries as Ellan Vannin marched forward into modern times. The invention of the camera meant that history could now be recorded on film, supplementing the writings begun by the monks of Rushen Abbey.
This book is an attempt to portray in image form a little of the Isle of Man's history and development over the last hundred years or so. Each page has a photograph from then and one of now.
Published in 1996. A4 size. 117 pages.
