A collection of cards using scenes of paintings from a time long gone, by renowned Manx artists such as John Ernest Aitken, J. Burkill and John Miller Nicholson.

John Ernest Aitken was Born 1881 in Liverpool and died in 1957 in Port St Mary. The son of a Scottish-born maritime artist. Aitken and his father permanently moved to the Isle of Man in 1911, although they had visited the Island from 1894.

John Miller Nicholson was Born in 1840 in Douglas and died in 1913 in Douglas. The son of a Douglas house painter.
